Wonderstruck Event Design at the Second Annual Capitol Hill Event Crawl
Wonderstruck was chosen as a featured planner and designer for the second annual Capitol Hill Event Crawl. For this event, we pulled together some very special design elements to deck out the 10 degrees and adjacent OOLA Distillery event space with a team of our a-list vendors and wedding professionals. Our inspiration was “brighter than sunshine,” a sunny Palm Springs oasis in the heart of Seattle. Regardless of whatever the Seattle weather will be up to that day, we’ll be keeping it fresh and sunshiney inside this intimate Capitol Hill space. Unified Cinematic captured all the fun on video, check out highlights from Capitol Hill Event Crawl below.

Wonderstruck + CANVAS for I Do SODO 2016
If James Bond, the ultimate bachelor, decided to get married, what would it look like? We decided to find out when we envisioned the design concept for I DO Sodo at Canvas Event Space. We boldly ventured into the sophistication of old school hollywood glamour and modern material combinations to create a romantic black tie affair fit for secret agent love. Our inspiration was derived from dangerous curves, sparkling diamonds, tuxedos and perfect bowties, shaken martinis, the gold standard, and of course Bond, James Bond. We were lucky to work with a collection of our favorite local event geniuses to create an afternoon of desire and sharp design for ‘007 The Spies Who Loved.'”
THANK YOU to all of the out-of-this-world-talented-creatives who made this event possible and to Krista Welch of Love Song Photo for taking all of these gorgeous photos of the day. Honored to have such a dream team as this one. Please enjoy the eye candy. We enjoyed creating it!

Seattle Wedding Show 2016
Wonderstruck Event Design joined some of the best Vendors the Puget Sound area has to offer at this year’s Seattle Wedding Show. We’ve noticed copper and geometric shapes are on trend this year, so we went with a modern vintage fusion. Bringing together Marsala, peach and green florals, a bold cobalt blue background with geometric wood and copper accents. Not to mention our favorite accessory and giveaway goodie box, Moscow Mules – Cheers!
Did we get a chance to connect at the show? Contact us, we’d love to hear from you!

Open the Barrel Loft’s garage-style doors to reveal a welcoming alfresco space worthy of a summertime fiesta… It’s there that Katie Aweida, owner of Wonderstruck Event Design, staged a playfully bold reception inspired by mod 1960s shapes and colors. “Weddings are happy occasions, and for me, color is a great way to communicate a mood of celebration,” says the designer. Starting with the ivory tablecloth as a neutral base, Aweida used warm corals, fuchsias, and blush tones to convey a bright, cheerful mood. Wooden features nod to the Pacific Northwest, while gold accents add sophistication and style… “If the flowers could speak,” says Aweida, “I think they would say, ‘Hey you! It’s a party! Enjoy yourself.’” read more at Seattle Met Bride & Groom

[Featured] Seattle Met First Look: Pastels + Fluorescent
Our friends at Seattle Met invited the Wonderstruck team to design their First Look party showcasing one of our favorite venues, Fremont Foundry. Our inspiration was pastels and fluorescent, so we dressed the room with neon color pops nestled in muted florals. On table tops, we accented centerpieces with faceted geometric orbs and suspended mirrored garden arrangements overhead. Check out a few of our favorite images below and feel the electricity of this modern romance!

[Styled Shoot] A Seabrook Wedding Part One 8.4.2013
“…Sparkling surf, glittering sand, and a cool glass of champagne in in our hands…
Golden sea stars, and driftwood spun with green amaranthus — These are the things that inspired us…”Many couples envision a sun drenched wedding day, but this styled inspiration shoot produced by Wonderstruck Event Design and Love Song Photo proves that a foggy day at the beach or inside a misty woodland cove is every bit as enchanting as sunny sand and surf. Great news for PNW couples! This wedding shoot is inspired by the enchanting town of Seabrook, Washington and highlights the grand opening of their new, incredibly romantic white wedding chapel.
